Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where a representative from Wildlife Safaris Tanzania will warmly welcome you upon arrival. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel, where you’ll receive a short orientation about your upcoming safari journey. Settle in and enjoy a relaxing evening as you prepare for the exciting adventure that begins tomorrow.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast at your hotel, your driver-guide will pick you up and set off for Tarangire National Park. Enjoy a full-day game drive through the park, complete with a picnic lunch amid the wilderness. As evening approaches, you’ll check into your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Tarangire National Park, located in Tanzania’s Manyara region, is one of the country’s largest and most picturesque wildlife reserves. It is famous for its massive elephant herds, tree-climbing lions, and ancient baobab trees that dominate the landscape. The Tarangire River, flowing throughout the year, serves as the park’s lifeline—drawing countless animals during the dry season and offering incredible wildlife-viewing opportunities.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you’ll set off for the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, ready for an unforgettable full-day safari adventure. As you journey across the park’s sweeping landscapes and varied habitats, keep your camera close to capture the breathtaking moments — from majestic lions and towering giraffes to elephants, zebras, and more. You’ll stop along the way to enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the beauty of the African wilderness. The game drive continues through the afternoon, offering more chances to spot the Serengeti’s abundant wildlife. As evening approaches, you’ll head to your camp to enjoy a hearty dinner and settle in for a peaceful overnight stay.

The Serengeti is celebrated for its awe-inspiring wildlife, endless horizons, and the Great Migration, where over 1.5 million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebras move across the plains in search of greener pastures. This extraordinary spectacle includes dramatic river crossings teeming with crocodiles and fierce survival battles. During the calving season, more than 8,000 wildebeest calves are born daily, marking the start of a remarkable 1,000 km (600-mile) journey — one of nature’s greatest displays of life, endurance, and instinct.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you’ll embark on a full-day game drive through the vast wilderness of the Serengeti, following the legendary Great Migration routes. Your knowledgeable driver-guide will share fascinating insights about this world-famous phenomenon that makes Tanzania one of Africa’s premier safari destinations. As the day winds down, you’ll return to your camp in time for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

A designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Serengeti is home to an astonishing array of wildlife, including nearly 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelles that journey alongside the wildebeest in search of lush grazing grounds. As you traverse the plains, immerse yourself in the unforgettable rhythm of the wilderness — the thunderous sound of millions of hooves echoing across the endless savannah, a true symphony of nature.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you’ll depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you’ll descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by incredible scenery as you observe the diverse wildlife that thrives in this unique ecosystem. Later in the evening, you’ll drive to your lodge to check in, enjoy dinner, and unwind for the night.

A designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area lies west of Arusha within Tanzania’s spectacular crater highlands. The region takes its name from the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. This remarkable landscape — with its sweeping highland plains, shimmering lakes, and dense concentration of animals — is often regarded as one of the most extraordinary natural wonders on the planet.

Day 6: Lake Manyara – Arusha depart

After breakfast, you’ll set out for Lake Manyara National Park, famously described by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest lake in Africa.” Despite its smaller size, the park boasts one of Tanzania’s most diverse ecosystems and offers a wonderfully scenic game-viewing experience. The shimmering lake, which covers nearly two-thirds of the park, lies at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, creating a truly spectacular setting.

Lake Manyara is a bird lover’s paradise, home to more than 400 bird species, including flocks of pink flamingos that color the shoreline, along with pelicans, storks, and cormorants. The park is also rich in wildlife, from elephants and hippos to the famous tree-climbing lions that make this destination so unique.

In the afternoon, you’ll begin your return journey to Arusha, where you’ll be transferred to the airport for your departure flight home, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzanian safari adventure.
