Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from the airport, city tour, and drive to Akagera National Park
After your arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by our professional guide, he will pass you through the travel plan for your 6-day Rwanda gorillas and golden monkey safari. You will start with a city tour in Kigali city visiting key areas of interest such as Kimironko market, Kings Palace and Genocide memorial. After your city tour, have lunch with in Kigali then embark on departing to Akagera national park arriving in the late evening.
Check in at the lodge and overnight stay
Accommodations: Ruzizi tented camp/Magashi camp (Luxury), Akagera Game lodge (Midrange), Dereva Hotel (Budget)
Meal Plan: Bed & breakfast
Day 2: Morning game drive and evening boat cruise.
Early morning take your hearty breakfast then l drive with your guide to embark on game drive along the northern circuit of the park. Akagera national park is the only perfect place for game drives in Rwanda for spotting the big 5 animals. You will view a variety of animas such as elephants rhinos, giraffes, tree limbing lions, and many more.
After enjoying your game drive, you will drive back to your hotel for lunch then in the late evening prepare to do a boat cruise. During the boat cruise, you will be able to see a number of animals such as crocodiles, hippos, and various several bird species. Examples of bird species to view with in shoebill storks, herons, jacanas, ibis, gonolek among others.

Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park and evening Iby’lwachu cultural experience
After breakfast, you will then depart to Volcanoes National park, this journey takes about 4-5 hours, passing through the beautiful landscapes viewing the beautiful scenery, you will arrive in time for lunch and after lunch you will relax and later in the evening you will have a cultural experience at Iby’lwachu village, you will have an opportunity of participating in the cultural dances with the indigenous people of Rwanda as well as learn about their past history.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park and visit Ellen de genres camp.
Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the lodge in the morning before heading to the park headquarters (Kinigi). The journey allows you to travel through Rwanda’s Switzerland as you view the scenic views of the breathtaking surroundings
Upon arrival at the briefing point, you will be highlighted on the perfect conduct on how to behave with the gorillas with in their natural habitat, from here ready with your hiking gears, water, join in group of 8 people and hike in the jungle.
Once you find them, you will spend one hour with them taking pictures and later you will return to the starting point meet your guide drive back to your lodge for lunch. After lunch, relax abit then prepare and visit the Ellen degenres camp. This camp serves as a living testimony for the great works of Dianna Fossey an American primatologist who spent all her time conserving the gorillas.
In the late evening, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Golden monkey trekking experience
Rise up and start your day with a tasty breakfast at your loge then drive to the park head quarters for a briefing. Golden monkey trekking starts with a briefing about the rules and regulations to follow while in the jungle.
After the briefing, join a group of people then descend to the forest passing via through the steep slopes. Upon meeting up with these wonderful creatures only one hour is offered to you to spend with them. The one hour includes taking photos and many more. After your amazing experience, descend down to the park head quarters meet your guide and return back to your lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will relax at your lodge as you prepare for your day tomorrow. Enjoy your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Kigali for your flight back home
