Here, guests are divided into small groups and assigned to one of the park’s habituated gorilla families. Each group is accompanied by an expert guide and a team of rangers who ensure safety and provide fascinating insights into the gorillas’ behavior, ecology, and the conservation challenges they face.

The trek itself is an exhilarating journey through the dense, mist-covered forests of the Virunga Mountains such as Mikeno, Muhabura, Mt. Sabinyo, Bisoke, Gahinga, and Karisimbi. These forests, often shrouded in a veil of fog, provide an otherworldly atmosphere as trekkers make their way up rugged trails.
