Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi, Kenya – Welcome to Africa

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be warmly met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Nairobi. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy an optional visit to the Giraffe Centre or the Karen Blixen Museum. Rest and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Nairobi – Drive to Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive across the golden plains. The Mara is known for its dense concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five and the annual wildebeest migration.

Day 3: Full Day Safari in Masai Mara – Great Migration Adventure

Day 4: Masai Mara – Cultural Visit & Optional Hot Air Balloon Safari

Day 9: Serengeti – Drive to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, embark on a leisurely game drive as you exit the Serengeti and journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop en route at the Olduvai Gorge, an important archaeological site known as the “Cradle of Mankind.” Arrive at your lodge on the crater rim in time for dinner.

Day 10: Explore the Ngorongoro Crater – Drive to Arusha

Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife. After a picnic lunch, drive to Arusha for an overnight stay.

Day 12: Kigali City Tour – Drive to Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, embark on a Kigali city tour, visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local art galleries, and craft markets. After lunch, drive north to Volcanoes National Park, a scenic journey through Rwanda’s famous “Land of a Thousand Hills.” Arrive at your lodge nestled near the Virunga Mountains.

Day 13: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

This is the highlight of your safari — mountain gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park. The trek may take 2–6 hours, but the reward of spending a precious hour with a gorilla family is indescribable. Watch silverbacks, mothers, and infants interact in the wild — a truly humbling and unforgettable experience.
