Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi – Gateway to East Africa

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be warmly received by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Nairobi. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a short city tour or relax at leisure in your hotel. Nairobi serves as the perfect introduction to East Africa’s vibrant rhythm and rich hospitality.

Day 2: Nairobi – Drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve

After an early breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve, the stage for the legendary Great Migration. Arrive in time for lunch at your safari camp, set in the heart of the Mara ecosystem. In the afternoon, set out for your first game drive, where the golden plains come alive with lions, elephants, giraffes, and wildebeests stretching to the horizon.

Day 3: Full Day in Maasai Mara – Witness the Great Migration

Today you’ll enjoy a full day of exploration in the Maasai Mara. Drive across the Mara River, where thousands of wildebeests and zebras make their dramatic crossings between July and October, often shadowed by crocodiles and big cats. With your expert guide, you’ll follow the herds and track predators in action. You may also visit a local Maasai village to experience traditional dances and daily life.

Day 4: Maasai Mara – Fly to Entebbe, Uganda

After breakfast, enjoy a final early morning game drive before transferring to the airstrip for your flight to Entebbe, Uganda, via Nairobi. On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be met by your Ugandan safari guide who will transfer you to your hotel for an evening of rest by the shores of Lake Victoria.

Day 5: Entebbe – Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After an early breakfast, take a short domestic flight to Kihihi Airstrip (or Kisoro, depending on your lodge location) and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. The drive to your lodge winds through misty highlands, tea plantations, and scenic villages. Spend the afternoon at leisure or enjoy a guided community walk to meet the Batwa people.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today marks the highlight of your journey — a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trek through the ancient Bwindi forest. After a briefing from park rangers, venture into the thick jungle in search of one of the habituated gorilla families. The trek can take between 2 and 6 hours depending on their location, but the moment you lock eyes with a silverback in the mist, every step feels worth it. You’ll spend a magical hour observing their behavior, taking photographs, and absorbing the serenity of the forest.
Return to your lodge for a well-earned rest and evening by the fire.

Day 7: Bwindi – Fly Back to Entebbe and Depart

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe. Depending on your international flight schedule, you may enjoy a brief tour of the Entebbe Botanical Gardens or the local craft markets before connecting to your onward journey.
