Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Gateway to the Northern Circuit

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. Settle in and enjoy the beautiful views of Mount Meru. If time allows, take a stroll through the lush gardens or explore a nearby coffee estate for a relaxing introduction to Tanzania.

Day 2: Arusha – Drive to Tarangire National Park

Day 6: Serengeti – The Great Wildebeest Migration

Day 7: Serengeti – Fly to Kigali, Rwanda

Day 8: Kigali City Tour – Drive to Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a guided Kigali City Tour, visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local craft markets, and cultural art galleries. After lunch, set off for Volcanoes National Park in Musanze, a scenic two-and-a-half-hour drive through Rwanda’s rolling hills and terraced countryside. Arrive at your lodge at the foothills of the Virunga Volcanoes and unwind as the cool mountain air surrounds you.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Today is the pinnacle of your journey — mountain gorilla trekking. After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for briefing and group allocation, then venture into the forested slopes of the Virungas in search of your assigned gorilla family. The trek may last several hours depending on their movement, but the reward is profound. Watching a silverback guard his troop or a baby gorilla clinging to its mother is a life-changing experience. Return to the lodge with memories that words can’t capture.

Day 10: Volcanoes National Park – Return to Kigali and Departure
