Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Fort Portal – Transfer to Kibale Forest

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport or Kajjansi airstrip, you will be met by your guide and transferred to Fort Portal, the gateway to Kibale Forest. The journey takes you through lush tea and coffee plantations and scenic hills. Check in at your lodge and spend the afternoon relaxing or exploring the local town. Dinner is served at the lodge, preparing you for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetland Walk

After an early breakfast, embark on a guided chimpanzee trekking expedition. Trek through the dense tropical forest, listening for chimpanzee calls and tracking them with the help of experienced rangers. Spend up to one hour observing the chimps as they feed, play, and interact in their natural habitat.
